Store-level fulfillment has the same DIM weight problem as a distribution center, but with less space, less labor, and more SKU variability per shipment. Store back-rooms were not designed as pack stations, and associates were not hired as warehouse pickers.

Standard fixed-size boxes either eat back-room shelf space or bleed margin on dimensional weight. MVP Box addresses both with a single carton. It is one of our strongest use cases for national retailers running ship-from-store.

Each carrier is calculated separately with its own divisor and rounding rules (UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS since July 12, 2026, round each dimension up; USPS applies DIM only above one cubic foot), then results are combined by your shipment shares. Dollar figures use one flat cost per billable pound that you choose, so real charges can be higher or lower by service, zone and rate table. MVP Box runs through standard case sealers within the sealer’s size range, with normal adjustments. No MVP-specific tooling or machine changes.

MVP Box works at manual packing stations, taped by hand, and it runs through the case sealers you already have. Fold it down at the pack station, then seal it the same way you seal every other box.

About MVP Box

What is MVP Box?
MVP Box is a patented corrugated shipping box made by Brandt Box & Paper. It uses pre-scored fold-down heights, so a single box can close at multiple heights depending on what is shipped inside it.
How does MVP Box work?
MVP Box folds down along pre-scored score lines built into the box at manufacturing. At the pack station, an operator folds the box down to the nearest pre-scored fold line above the product being shipped, then seals it by hand or runs it through a compatible case sealer. No machine, retrofit, or capital equipment is required.
How is MVP Box different from a multi-depth box?
A multi-depth box has score lines too, but the packer has to cut down each corner with a knife before folding and taping. MVP Box folds down to its pre-scored heights with no cutting, which is what its patents cover. The fold takes about one second.
What problem does MVP Box solve?
Shipping a product in a box that is taller than the product wastes space, adds void fill, and increases dimensional (DIM) weight, which raises shipping cost. MVP Box lets one box size cover a range of product heights, so fewer oversized shipments go out and fewer box SKUs need to be stocked.
How is MVP Box different from a box-on-demand or right-sizing machine?

An MVP Box changes height at a fixed length and width. How many sizes it replaces depends on what you ship and the dimensions and score heights chosen for it.
